Larry Emdur surprised his fans by sharing a photo of his wife Sylvie with a ‘bump’, but all was not as it seemed.
The TV presenter, 60, shared a photo on Instagram on Thursday of him and Sylvie enjoying a sun-drenched day out on a boat.
However, in the photo, Sylvie was seen showing off her ‘belly’ as she hid something under her T-shirt.
Instead of signaling unexpected family news, Larry hilariously explained that she had been trying to protect a watermelon from the high temperatures.
He joked in a caption, “Surprising the neighbors while hiding the watermelon from the sun.”
Sylvie seemed mortified that Larry posted the funny photo, saying, “OMG, did you get a permission slip to post that?”

However, the couple did mark a huge milestone in recent weeks as they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
Earlier this month, Seven star Larry shared a touching tribute to Sylvie, with whom he shares his two children Jye, 30, and Tia, 24.
He posted a beautiful photo of him and Sylvie posing together in a cozy home environment, as well as a photo of them smiling cheek to cheek on a beach.
“10,957.28 of the best days of my life with this incredible human being,” Larry captioned the post.
“Happy 30th anniversary baby doll, all I need to survive is a little bit of oxygen, a little bit of water and you.
“Thanks for putting up with all my shit.”
Known for his humorous social media posts, Larry couldn’t resist making a joke by adding a photo of a bowl of pearls as an “anniversary gift.”
‘I just read that the 30th anniversary gift is a pearl. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to go shopping, but I found an entire bowl of pearls on Temu for $3.89 (that’s 88% off). How good,” he joked.
However, the couple marked another big milestone in recent weeks as they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary (they were pictured at the 2024 Logies in August)
Larry and Sylvie met on a plane in the 1990s while she was working as a flight attendant, and they tied the knot in December 1994.
He signed off the post by saying, “I love you Sylvie,” and added seven love heart emojis.
Sylvie joked in the comments section: ‘More pearls, just what I need. And if you really love me, feel free to throw in some emeralds and diamonds.”
