Larry Emdur has shared a hilarious tribute to David Koch as he prepares to say goodbye to Sunrise after 21 remarkable years.
The Morning Show, 58, posted a touching message to Instagram on Thursday evening in honor of his longtime friend and colleague.
In a nostalgic throwback, Emdur shared a black and white photo of the pair from their early years in the industry.
“It’s 1991, a financial nerd and a game show bimbo meet for the first time,” Larry began.
“One of them would change the shape of breakfast television forever, the other would linger on your TV like a bad smell. They would both lose their hair.’

The poignant post continued: ‘Tomorrow morning, after 21 monumental years at @sunriseon7, we say goodbye to Kochie. I’m happy for him, but I’m a little sad for the television.’
Emdur went on to praise Kochie for his authenticity and significant contribution to Australian television.
“He gave so much and never tried to be anyone or anything but himself. It was an honor to share a studio, a bank and a network with him for so long,” he said.

The host then urged fans to watch Sunrise for Kochie’s final show, teasingly, “Tune in tomorrow, it’s going to be HHHHUUGGEEE!!!!!!”
Kochie surprised his colleagues on Monday when he announced his resignation from the popular breakfast show after 21 years.
During his on air announcement, Natalie looked heartbroken when Kochie said he had spent more time with her than with members of his own family in recent years.
He said he left the hit show to focus on his own business and enjoy more flexible work hours to spend time with his growing family.
Kochie joined Sunrise in 2002 to present financial reports and in October of that year became Chris Reason’s replacement when the journalist was diagnosed with cancer.
Matt Shirvington, 44, who will replace Kochie, said he had ‘mixed feelings’ about the new gig.
