Larry Emdur ‘loses’ Gold Logie vote after an embarrassing moment with a female fan outside a portaloo
Larry Emdur is up for a coveted Gold Logie next month and on Monday he hilariously revealed how he recently ‘lost’ a vote from one of his fans.
The 59-year-old Morning Show co-host is currently in the remote town of Marble Bar, Washington and shared a photo on Instagram of himself standing in front of a porta potty.
Larry looked gloomy as he sweltered in the region known as Australia’s hottest city, with temperatures averaging above 30 degrees in winter.
He explained that he had an embarrassing encounter with a fan after using the portable toilet.
‘How to lose a Gold Logie vote in 30 seconds. After two days of fried food and whiskey I stepped into the porta-poule at the campsite in Australia’s hottest city,’ he explained in the caption.
‘When I stepped outside, there was a beautiful lady with her roll of toilet paper ready to jump in, she said, “Oohhhh Larry, I’m voting for you for a Gold Logie.”
“I said, ‘I know for sure you won’t vote for me again once you get into that gantry seat,’” he joked.
Many of Larry’s famous friends immediately responded to the post with laughter.
“We have to get you one of our new beanies! It’s from the 1920s!” joked Carrie Bickmore, with Big Brother star Reggie Bird adding, “Bahahaha.”
