Larry Emdur breaks his silence on Seven bullying scandal as he arrives to 2024 Logie Awards with wife Sylvie

Channel Seven star Larry Emdur has spoken out about the network’s current scandal ahead of his appearance at Sunday’s Logie Awards.

ABC’s Four Corners this week exposed allegations of sexism, misogyny and bullying that the program said were “widespread” at the network.

Speaking with The Daily TelegraphLarry, 59, said there is always room for improvement but he is still “proud” to work at Seven.

“I know the focus is on a small minority of people who are doing the wrong things,” he said.

“It’s clear that we need to do better in some areas and it’s important that the network takes steps to address this,” the veteran TV star added.

‘After all these years, I’m still incredibly proud to work at Seven, among so many talented production people and journalists who are truly passionate about what they do.’

Larry added that conversations about workplace culture are necessary across all sectors, and the core of the conversation is that people need to be “decent human beings.”

“People should feel safe, healthy and happy at work,” he said.

The comments were published on the same day the TV presenter put on a loving show as he walked the red carpet for the 2024 Logie Awards, held at Star City in Sydney.

Larry posed holding hands and cuddling with his wife of 29 years, Sylvie.

The Chase Australia star showed off his sleek style in a black suit with a light stripe over a black tuxedo shirt and matching bow tie.

His wife Sylvie, meanwhile, wore an all-black outfit like her TV star husband. She wore a dark dress with a slit all the way up to her thigh, revealing her slim shoes and strappy black heels.

The dress also featured a lace black bodice and sheer lace embellishments on the neckline and sleeves.

Sylvie wore her hair in a bun for the glittering occasion and accessorised with a pair of black round earrings, while opting to leave her neck down. without bling for her big arrival.

Larry spoke to Ny Breaking Australia about his unconventional campaign to win this year’s Gold Logie.

‘We’ve had so much fun and that’s part of it. When Seven told me about the nomination, I said we’re not going to do that “vote for me” thing. We’re only going to do it if we’re going to take the p**s and have fun.’
