How Larry Emdur narrowly avoided getting dragged into the Noosa fracas between Michael Clarke and Karl Stefanovic – as it’s been revealed he caught up with the two men hours before their on-camera fight
Larry Emdur thanks his lucky stars after narrowly avoiding being dragged into Michael Clarke’s embarrassing Noosa rumble with Karl Stefanovic in January.
The Morning Show host was in Noosa at the time of the fracas and even met Clarke, Stefanovic and friends, including famed accountant Anthony Bell, just hours before the now-infamous park fight, according to Confidential.
Emdur, 58, has been friends with Clarke, 41, for many years and even invited the cricketer to his 50th birthday party in 2015.
The Chase host was also spotted partying with Clarke and his then-girlfriend Pip Edwards aboard a $15 million superyacht in December 2020 as they celebrated the sportsman receiving the Order of Australia.

Clarke made headlines worldwide in January when footage emerged of the retired athlete arguing with girlfriend Jade Yarbrough, 41, in a Noosa park after she accused him of sleeping with his ex Edwards.
In the video, which was filmed by an onlooker on Jan. 10 and reportedly sold to The Daily Telegraph for $10,000, Jade accused the former Test captain of cheating on her on Dec. 17 with his former flame Pip.
Others in the group, including Stefanovic, his wife Jasmine – Jade’s older sister – and famed accountant Bell, tried to defuse the fracas.

The dramatic footage showed a shirtless Michael being berated and beaten by his hysterical girlfriend.
A remorseful Clarke has since taken full responsibility for what happened.
“I am absolutely devastated that I put people I hold in high esteem in this position. My actions leading up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,” he said.

“I am devastated that by my actions I have put women of class and integrity, and my mates, in this situation.”
Edwards also issued a statement the night the footage was released.
‘This is not my circus. Again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
