Larry Edmur shared a funny moment from when he interviewed the late Tina Turner 33 years ago.
As the world remembers the rock and roll legend after she passed away at the age of 83, Larry shared an interview with the star when he was a young reporter.
After showing a snippet of the old interview on The Morning Show, the host, 58, shared a funny interaction they had when the cameras stopped rolling.
“That warmth, that smile and that glow is real, she walked into that little interview room and just warmed everything up,” he told his co-host Kylie Gillies.
“Funny story, I told her that my late father had a crush on her, I think every man in the world had a crush on her, and then I said, ‘Would you mind, can I have a picture and an autographed thing?’ “

And the publicist gave her a very corporate NRL photo and she looked at the publicist and said, “Get a sexier photo for Larry’s dad!” and she got one with the short skirt, and she was just beautiful.”
The (Simply) The Best legend was doing press interviews in Australia at the time while filming her iconic campaigns with the NRL.
Elsewhere in the chat, a sassy young Larry asked the singer, “How long can you stay wild?”

The legendary singer died at her home in Küsnach near Zurich, Switzerland, after a long, unspecified illness.
Her representatives announced the news on Wednesday, saying, “With her, the world has lost a music legend and role model.”
Turner is survived by two of her four sons – two predeceased her – and her 67-year-old husband, Erwin Bach.

The couple got married in 2013 after nearly 30 years of dating.
One of the first to pay tribute to her was Mick Jagger, with whom she shared an exciting stage chemistry.
“I am so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly a tremendously talented performer and singer,” Jagger wrote.
“She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous. She helped me a lot when I was young and I will never forget her.’
