Clarke’s engagement to Worthington, then known by her maiden name Lara Bingle, fell apart in 2010 amid rumors that her $200,000 diamond ring ended up flushed down the toilet at their Bondi home.

While she has rarely spoken about her relationship since the split, she may have been quietly enjoying some of the outrageous headlines about her ex, as she herself was the subject of many salacious tabloid articles in the 2000s.

The former couple began dating in 2007, after meeting on the set of Channel Nine’s now-defunct reality show Torvill and Dean’s Dancing on Ice.

In March of the following year they became engaged during a romantic trip to New York.

But at a late-night press conference in March 2010, Clarke confirmed that her two-year engagement to the former Australian touring model was over.

Their split came just months after a magazine published a photo of Worthington in the shower, taken years earlier by AFL star Brendan Fevola during their brief relationship.

After their split, there were rumors that Worthington’s $200,000 engagement ring was flushed down the toilet on her $6 million beachside Bondi deck.

In the footage, filmed by a bystander on January 10 and published by The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, Yarbrough claims he has proof that Clarke, 41, slept with ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards behind her back on December 17.

Queensland Police have since confirmed that they are investigating the confrontation.

“Queensland Police are investigating an incident between a 30-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man pictured at Lions Park on Gympie Terrace in Noosaville earlier this month,” a spokesperson said.

The video shows Clarke being yelled at and slapped by his irate girlfriend as others in the group, including his good partner Karl Stefanovic and famed accountant Anthony Bell, try to defuse the fight.

At one point, Clarke swears on the life of her daughter Kelsey Lee that she didn’t cheat, but Yarbrough refuses to believe Clarke’s protests, claiming that she spoke to Edwards, who allegedly showed her text messages confirming the date.

Clarke, who is limping after injuring his hamstring in the melee, goads Yarbrough into punching him multiple times, which he eventually does.

After Yarbrough is taken away by her sister Jasmine, Stefanovic’s wife, Clarke tries to follow Yarbrough before he unleashes a wave of rage at the Today show host, apparently because he is following the two sisters.

‘Karlos, I can tell you now shit, don’t walk away. She can, she can hit me, but you idiot,” says Clarke.

This comment provokes the fury of Yarbrough, who defends his brother-in-law before slapping Clarke repeatedly across the face.

“You piece of s**t, don’t talk to him,” he yells.

A remorseful Clarke has since taken full responsibility for what happened.

I am absolutely heartbroken, I have put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,” he told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday.

“I am devastated that by my actions I have brought women of class and integrity, and my peers, into this situation.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted all other parties involved for comment.
