Lara Worthington quickly deletes images from social media after she was slammed for ‘fat-shaming’ women in latest photoshoot

Lara Worthington quickly deleted images she shared online on Friday morning after being criticized by followers for ‘fat-shaming’.

The Australian model, 36, took to Instagram to post photos from her latest photoshoot in Paris, in which she posed in jeans more than twice her size.

But fans turned on the media personality, accusing her of being “insensitive” to people with larger bodies, prompting her to quickly delete the photos.

Posing up a storm on the streets of France, Lara was all smiles in the photos as she slipped her petite frame into a plus size pant and belt for Side-Note magazine.

The loose sides were stitched together and cut out to further accentuate the size difference between Lara and the black garment.

Little context was given for the photoshoot, with the caption only: “Me by @jessrubyjames & @vanessa_coyle for @side__note in Paris.”

Followers flocked to the comments on the post to accuse Lara of ‘fat-shaming’ and making ‘insensitive’ comments on other women’s bodies with the photos.

‘This looks really bad. “I’m not sure what they were thinking when they did this shoot, but I should probably post it with a caption for context because it seems kind of insensitive,” one person said.

Another added: ‘Is she fat shaming here? WTF is this?’ while a third wrote “Insensitive” alongside a sad face emoji.

Someone else commented: ‘She’s laughing, this doesn’t seem funny, rather inappropriate. Bad choice on her part, any way you look at it.”

“Not an image that should be marketed by the fashion industry,” said one user.

Yet another said, “Are you dealing with people bigger than you? Bah.’

Despite the amount of criticism Lara received over the images, some fans defended her.

“It’s a great photo, nothing to do with fat shaming, it’s just visual, people need to lighten up,” one person wrote.

Someone else said: ‘I love wide leg trousers,’ while another posted a series of fire emojis under the post.

Several other followers simply wrote the word “love” to share their support.

Daily Mail Australia contacted Lara and her stylist for comment on the deleted images.
