Lara Worthington reunites with her brother Joshua Bingle and his pregnant partner in rare public outing six years after he was convicted of drug possession

Family Christmas celebrations have started early for Lara Worthington.

The 37-year-old Australian model was reunited with her brother, Joshua Bingle, this week, as the two enjoyed a day at the beach in Sydney with their children.

While Lara’s husband, Sam, did not appear to be in attendance, the brother-sister duo were also joined by Josh’s pregnant partner Paige.

The trio looked relaxed and happy in each other’s company as they sat atop some rocks at the beach.

Meanwhile, the kids, including Lara’s three children – Racer, eight, Rocket, nine, and River, four – played in the surf as their doting mother watched over them.

The blonde beauty headed to her beach outing looking fresh-faced and looking quite casual in a black tank top.

Lara wore a sleeveless top decorated with lace at the neckline, which accentuated her toned arms and hugged her lithe body.

She paired it with loose-fitting gray pinstripe trousers that flowed gracefully down her elegant legs.

To complete her look, Lara opted for black ASICS sneakers over black socks and added dark sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Joshua looked much more ‘beach ready’. He appeared shirtless as he relaxed on the rocks with his famous sister.

He wore multicolored board shorts with a floral print and a black baseball cap with the words “Black Sheep” on the front.

Joshua also carried his beach essentials in a black fanny pack, which he wore over his shoulder.

It appeared he had overlooked the ‘slip, slip, slap’ advice for sun protection as his skin had developed a noticeable sunburned tint.

Joshua’s partner proudly showed off her growing baby bump in a black bikini top and mismatched white bottoms.

The brunette wore her hair back and completed her summer look with dark cat-eye sunglasses.

At one point during the beach outing, Lara appeared to be engaged in a deep conversation with Joshua’s partner, possibly offering some parenting advice to the expectant mother.

This was a rare public appearance of the pair together, as Joshua tends to live a much quieter life compared to his famous sister.

Loyal fans of Lara may remember Joshua from her short-lived 2012 Channel Ten series, Being Lara Binge.

Lara’s family trip to the beach comes after her husband Sam Worthington had an awkward conversation with a journalist about his wife’s surname.

Sam’s night out with his wife Lara at the 2024 GQ Men of the Year Awards got off to a bumpy start when a red carpet interview with the couple went horribly wrong on live TV.

Channel Seven reporter Sally Bowery introduced Sam’s 37-year-old wife to viewers of the Sydney event by her maiden name Lara Bingle – and it went down like a lead balloon.

“Her name is Lara Worthington,” the 48-year-old Avatar star clapped back.

“It’s only been ten years,” a clearly irritated Sam quickly added.

Bowery quickly apologized for his mistake: “That was my mistake.”

Later in the evening, the Avatar star was crowned GQ’s Man of the Year.

Joshua, meanwhile, made headlines when he was charged with drug possession in February 2018 after being caught with cocaine in Sydney on January 21, 2018.

The trafficker pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine at Downing Center Local Court after being caught with the drug at a nightclub in Kings Cross.

According to court documents, officers searched Joshua and found a 0.6 gram bag of cocaine in his left pocket when a sniffer dog “made an indication” as Joshua was seen leaving the Darlo Country Club.

He pleaded guilty to the possession charge, with his lawyer claiming it was out of character and that he was hit by the pressure to support his famous model sister after their father Graham died of cancer in 2008.

Joshua was convicted and fined $300.

It wasn’t Joshua’s first run-in with the law.

In 2012, he was fined $800 and given an 18-month good behavior bond after admitting punching a man at Randwick Racecourse in 2009.

In an unrelated incident in 2004, he was fined $800 after being convicted of theft from a dwelling or house.
