Lara Trump sets internet ablaze with response to podcast viewer who asked if she was ‘as stupid as she appears to be’

Lara Trump managed to work through an awkward moment during an episode of her podcast when she held a Q&A with a viewer asking if she was “as stupid as she seems to be.”

Without missing a beat, Eric Trump’s wife Trump calmly continued, turning her likely rehearsed response into a direct attack on the Democratic Party.

‘Oh! Here’s a fun one: “Is Lara Trump as stupid as she appears to be?” What is it that… that’s stupid? Let me ask you that, sir or madam. I’m – again, I say this all the time, I’m just giving you information and the facts,” Trump responded.

Lara Trump is currently co-chair of the Republican National Committee and she suggested that those who vote for Democrats do so because they are influenced by emotions rather than facts.

‘What is stupid is voting for a party that hates you and hates this country. What’s stupid is voting for a party that ultimately wants the destruction of America, and I assume you’re one of those people.

‘There’s nothing stupid here. I’ve done my research, I actually have the real information, I’m actually not influenced by emotions, but by cold, hard facts,” she continued.

“You might wanna get on that bandwagon ’cause I tell you what, it’s all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows right now, but if something happens you’ll look back and say, ‘Man, I bet Lara Trump was right, I should have listened to her.”

Those who responded online had a more comedic view of what her response could have been.

“The answer to your question caller is yes. Yes, it is,” Mike Morton wrote.

“She could have just said yes,” Cooper added.

“I’m willing to bet no one will ever look back and say ‘man, Lara Trump was right,'” one tweeted.

“I can answer this. Yes, yes she is. If you don’t believe me, look at who she willingly married,” another X user added.

Lara Trump said earlier this week morning that her father-in-law’s re-election campaign raised $1.5 million on Monday on the first day of the criminal trial of former President Donald Trump.

Last month, her father-in-law, Donald Trump, completed his takeover of the Republican Party when Lara was elected co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).

She took over one of the top roles alongside another Trump loyalist, after Ronna McDaniel stepped aside.

Democrats immediately rejected her nomination, saying her “fake title” would create another disastrous set of elections for her party.

And while Trump’s team has pledged not to use RNC funds to pay his personal legal bills, his key lieutenants will face little trouble now.

Lara Trump even said she believed voters would approve of the party footing the bill.

“As co-chair, I will be focused on protecting our elections, ensuring the RNC’s money is spent with maximum impact, and building out key capabilities to ensure we win close races at the margins,” said Lara.

“Everything I do on this committee will have one focus: reelecting Donald Trump, flipping the Senate and expanding the House in November.”

She is expected to focus on TV appearances and fundraising.
