Lara Flynn Boyle, 54, makes rare comment about ex Jack Nicholson, 87, as she reveals they ‘still keep in touch’
Twin Peaks star Lara Flynn made a rare statement in a new interview about her past romance with Jack Nicholson, whom she described as a “huge part” of her life.
Reflecting on their on-again, off-again relationship, the 54-year-old actress raved that she considered it “seven amazing years.”
“It’s been a fantastic seven years,” explains the Davenport resident, who married Texas real estate investor Donald Ray Thomas in 2006.
While Boyle said she is no longer seeing the three-time Oscar winner, 87, she did confirm that she… People that they are still in touch.
As for how things are going with her former flame now, the Emmy nominee said Nicholson was “making magic.”

“Jack’s world is always there. There is no retirement for Jack’s world. Never,” she said, despite Nicholson not appearing in a film since 2010’s How Do You Know.
Boyle and Nicholson have been in a relationship since 1991.
After a number of breakups and reconciliations, they called it quits in 2006, just before she met her current husband.
Flynn also took the opportunity to debunk claims that she met Nicholson on a night out with her then-boyfriend David Spade.
In 2015, the former Saturday Night Live host claimed that “Nicholson invited Lara Flynn Boyle in front of me while we were smoking a joint somewhere.”
He remembered Details that Boyle became ‘angry’ because he didn’t tell Nicholson to stop.
Spade maintained that he had been “in this city long enough to know when” he was “outranked.”
In response to telling Boyle she was “either going to date him or not,” Spade claimed she said, “No way. He’s worse than Trump!”

Three decades later, Boyle emphatically closed the story, insisting it “never happened.”
“I think some people like to hype that up to get publicity,” she said.
Boyle said she never dated another movie star after her relationship with Nicholson.
“As far as the actors go, it was a blast,” she mused.

In December, the actress, who divides her time between Los Angeles and Texas, and her husband will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary.
Speaking about her long-lasting marriage, she said it was due to “honesty, maturity, experience and respect.”
“A lot of it is growing up,” she said. “A lot of it is when you’re ready, and I’ve been so lucky, I’ve had so many wonderful gentlemen come and visit me. I’ve had a great time, and I’ve met some great men to spend time with, learn from, and grow with. It’s just been the right timing.”
Born in Iowa, Lara moved to California to work as a child actress in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
She then performed in America in 1987 and in Dead Poets Society in 1989.

She will soon be seen in the film Mother, Couch, which is released this Friday.
Before dating Nicholson and Spade, she dated Twin Peaks co-star Kyle MacLachlan and was briefly married to John Patrick Dee III from 1996 to 1998.
