After the thriller of a race, Norris acknowledged that he had to overcome some adversity with his team and shouted out to his parents after taking his first win.
“I mean, the whole weekend was good,” Norris said. “I’ve had some setbacks along the way. But I knew on Friday that we had the pace. (Had) only a few [of] mistakes, here and there.
‘But today we did it. We have found the perfect strategy. It all paid off. So thank you to all of McLaren, everyone. And I want to give a shout-out to my mom and dad.”
