A former adult star has called for pornography to be made illegal, admitting the industry made her feel like she was doing “circus acts.”

American recording artist Lana Rhoades – real name Amara Maple – said that porn is “100 percent fake” and revealed that in real life she is “practically asexual”.

The 26-year-old, who was only 19 when she began her brief eight-month stint in the industry, hated pornography and said she doesn’t believe it’s “good for anyone.”

In a candid interview with The skinny confidential him and her podcastLana admitted she was “not mature enough” to take the plunge into adult performing as a teenager.

The 26-year-old (pictured last year), who was only 19 when she began her brief 8-month stint in the industry, criticized pornography, saying she doesn’t believe it’s “good for anyone.”

In a recent episode, she told hosts Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick, “They’re like circus acts. As a performer, when I did it, it was like “what face can I make”, “what sound can I make”, “what can I do in this movie to make it the best”.’

She continues about the artificial nature of the work: ‘I don’t like sex… I never hang out with people, I don’t find people attractive and I always have been. It’s not like there was a change after doing porn.”

The ex-artist also criticized the seemingly inherent nature of “having to have sex with people you haven’t chosen to have sex with” as part of the job.

Lana also revealed that she found her rapid fame through porn bizarre.

“It’s crazy to make one decision when you’re 19 years old and… you know, become the biggest porn star in the world,” she told the podcast.

The social media influencer – who? also said the industry is “contaminated with drug and alcohol abuse” – revealing that the appeal of a more glamorous lifestyle made her turn to pornography.

She was particularly enchanted by the reality show The Girls Next Door (aka The Girls of the Playboy Mansion), which followed the lives of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends.

Lana — explaining that she now works with Playboy and calling it a “completely different brand” than it used to be — said, “I watched the show and i thought… their life looks so glamorous compared to mine…

“I’m trying to keep my sister from committing suicide every day and I could jump off a trampoline into a pool in this big mansion.”

By the time she turned 18, Lana explained that porn was a logical step because she didn’t think you could have a career in glamor modeling by then.

However, her introduction to the job made her realize how ‘inexperienced’ she was, as she revealed she had ‘only slept with one person’.

“For some reason I once understood that to do porn you actually have to have sex with people,” she explained.

However, Lana added that while she soon realized that pornography isn’t for her, she doesn’t regret her choices despite not being “super proud of her past.”
