Louisiana airboat captain Lana Del Rey’s new husband Jeremy Dufrene recently made a joke about his ex-wife.
Part of his story involves interacting with large alligators in the swamp he travels through.
According to TMZ49-year-old Dufrene – whose ex-fiancée shared her thoughts on his new romance – joked with boat passengers about a certain reptile: “Me and [this alligator] I’ve been pretty tight since I fed him my ex-wife.’
He later assured the riders: ‘I’m just kidding. I’m kidding.’
It comes after the 39-year-old singer broke her silence earlier this week following their whirlwind wedding.

Lana recently revealed the extent of the unwanted attention she and her new husband have experienced since news of their marriage broke.
On the Instagram fan account LanaBoards, she wrote: “Unfortunately, a local couple from Houma won’t stop flying drones to our windows every morning and following us with a tracker.”
The artist, born Elizabeth Grant, continued: “But if Sara Michelle Champagne and Kruesch (a famous New Orleans paparazzi) could stop switching vehicles to follow the family – and stop following us through remote parts of the country and photoshopping my wedding ring into a pearl – I know we’d feel a lot safer.”
She added, “That said, Jeremy is the one and only. And great. And we are very happy.’
Jeremy’s ex-fiancée revealed she was blindsided by his marriage to the music artist.
She said she learned he had walked down the aisle when she was shown photos the next morning.
Del Rey and Dufrene married last week in an intimate waterfront ceremony in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, just a month after going public with their romance, and five years after they first met.
Kelli Welsh, 45, who was engaged to Dufrene for 12 years before they split in October 2023, told DailyMail.com she was ‘shocked’ at how quickly they said: ‘Yes, I do.’

She wrote on an Instagram fan account that Jeremy is “the one and only.”
‘But I’m happy for him. He is a very protective, hardworking, masculine man. He had to get out of his comfort zone. He was used to life in the bayou and the swamp. He deserves this blessing.”
Welsh and Dufrene started dating as teenagers when she was 16 and he was 19, but they split after a year.
He subsequently married his first wife Gina, with whom he shares three children: two sons and a daughter.
Within a year of the marriage ending, he ended up back with Welsh.
