The show will give British fans of the American star another chance to see the pop star live following her headline set at Glastonbury’s Other Stage in June, which she recently admitted was ‘unfathomable’.
She told BBC Radio 1: ‘I was excited to tell people, so I wanted to tell people because, when we started announcing some festivals, it’s unfathomable to me to headline the second stage of Glastonbury.
“They had been asking me to play at Glastonbury for the last three years, but we just weren’t ready. I didn’t want to say yes until we had a big band.’
However, she has also sparked rumors that she is withdrawing from the festival following the line-up announcement.
She pointed out that she would be playing top billing on the Other Stage, which Glastonbury did not mention.
She also appeared all over the poster with over 20 names of other acts standing in front of her.
Lana showed her annoyance by responding to the official Glastonbury post on Instagram, writing, “Thank you for announcing I was headlining the other stage. Thumbs up.’
According to reports, she also took to her own private Instagram to share the poster, adding, “Well, I’m actually headlining the 2nd leg.”
Then she hinted that she might withdraw and said, “But since there was no consideration to announce that we’ll see.”
In March, Lana released her ninth studio album titled Did You Know There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.
The Summertime Sadness hitmaker had several other artists on her album, including her longtime collaborator, Jack Antonoff, who works with Taylor Swift.
Lana, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, released her major debut album Born To Die eleven years ago, which featured the viral hit Video Games.
A remix of Summertime Sadness gave Lana her first US Top 10 hit. Her second album, the critically acclaimed 2014 album Ultraviolence with singles West Coast and Brooklyn Baby followed.
Her subsequent albums include the Grammy-nominated Normal F***ing Rockwell! and 2021’s Blue Banisters, while collaborating with Taylor Swift on Snow On The Beach from her album Midnights in October.
Other artists to headline BST this year include Pink with Gwen Stefani (June 24 & 25), Guns N’ Roses (June 30), Take That (July 1), BLACKPINK (July 2), Billy Joel (July 7) and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (July 6 and 8).

Lana’s relationship with Winiker reportedly started a few months ago and she debuted a beautiful diamond sparkler on March 1 when she attended the Billboard Women In Music Awards.
