The 37-year-old singer is one of the acts revealed as part of the lineup on Friday, but she was upset by the way she was announced.

Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses were announced as the final two headliners, joining Sir Elton John at the top of the bill.

But Lana did point out that she would be in a prominent role in the Other Scenario, which Glastonbury didn’t mention.

She was also featured all over the bill with over 20 names of other acts listed before her.

It comes after Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis spoke out in defense of the ‘boring’ lineup of all male acts.

The lineup includes Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, The War On Drugs, Christine And The Queens, Thundercat, Lil Nas X, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Manic Street Preachers.

However, fans were quick to comment on the lack of reserved female talent.

Of the 30 headline acts announced since 2010, only four have been women: Beyonce, Adele, Billie Eilish, Florence and the Machine, with Emily claiming it’s due to an “ongoing issue.”

She said The Guardian: ‘We are doing everything possible, so it is necessary to develop the pipeline. This starts much earlier with the record companies, the radio. I can scream as loud as I want, but we need everyone to participate.

He added that they remain “totally focused on balancing our bill.” It’s not just about gender, it’s about all aspects of diversity.’

Emily committed to having two female headliners next year and said that Lizzo, who is performing just before Guns N’ Roses, would have been booked to headline this year, but the positions had already been secured by the male acts.

However, fans were not impressed, taking to Twitter to share: ‘@glastonbury does it better! All male headliners? You can’t even blame a lack of talent, there is an overwhelming WEALTH of amazing women to choose from’;

‘Always brilliant, but that’s not the best formation. Elton should be Saturday night. It would be great to see ACDC headline a year. Eminem. Virgin. Phil Collins for the position of legend.’; ‘Absolutely shocking compared to other years’;

‘@glastonbury @ArcticMonkeys and @gunsnroses Worst Glastonbury line up in years if ever’; “Situations like this year’s Glastonbury lineup are a direct symptom of the industry’s failure to support female artists from the ground up. Putting them on the smallest of stages, on the radio, in live venues.

‘No you guys don’t understand, Glastonbury HAD to hire Guns N Roses to headline a festival in 2023 because there are simply no women in music at all’; ‘During Women’s History Month, the Glastonbury Festival announced an all-male bill. In 2023. Tell me why we don’t need this month one more time.’;

Stormzy wasn’t in major festival headlining status when he made Glastonbury and look what he did with the platform. He seems unusually retrograde to not allow that same opportunity to literally any woman.’; ‘Just a little boring’;
