Lana Del Rey blasts former tour manager who ‘quit for no reason after 15 years’ a month before her Coachella performance: ‘Not stressful at all’

Lana Del Rey has hooked up with a former tour manager following her first weekend headlining the 2024 Coachella Music Festival.

The Ultraviolence hitmaker, 38, wrote a lengthy Instagram note on Tuesday, thanking her team for their contribution to the successful first week, before shooting former collaborator Pete, apparently in reference to her tour manager Peter Abbott.

New York native Elizabeth Woolridge Grant claimed that Pete, who had been her tour manager for fifteen years, suddenly quit more than a month before the festival.

In her caption, she thanked a teammate named Emily “for stepping up as tour manager when Pete quit for no reason after fifteen years.”

Lana claimed he left because he hurt his butt because Wally gave me ten free bikes [Crowder] and arbitrarily decided he was more of a set designer than a tour manager…’

Lana added that Pete’s departure came without warning, writing, “I never got a call and probably never will.”

The star continued to vent: β€œStill grateful for the 15 years. No worries – 37 days was more than enough time to put together a complete headlining set from scratch. Not stressful at all.’

She then praised Emily, writing, “Good job Emily, you killed it with grace.”

In the post, she thanked her fans, the band Crowder, as well as special guests Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste and Jack Antonoff, and shared some behind-the-scenes photos of her team.

Among the photos were rehearsal footage, some of her backup singers and dancers, and a photo of Del Rey, Batiste and Antonoff.

‘Thanks guys. For everything, Jack and John and Billie for showing up for me – and the band that just blew it and spent months in Sylmar in a 40 degree warehouse.”

She added that the cold temperatures caused her to “get a throat infection that literally went away just a few hours before I went on stage because Tessa DiPietro just minutes before the show remotely controlled the cough for two hours through her intuitive skills had lifted from her body.’

She also thanked Wally “for my bad cycling.”

‘Every beautiful dancer on stage – and Alex for her beautiful choreography. My beautiful three singers who danced and sang in style and tall boots to match. Judah + Chelsea.”

‘Thank you to my managers Ben and Ed, who have made me laugh my whole crazy life, even when it all makes no sense.’

She also jokingly asked her managers to email them if they ever decided to quit.

‘PS please send me an email. If you decide to stop this year, 15 years is a long time for us too.’

“Thank you to Cody!, boss number two, for always having my back and doing the best.”

She continued: “Ric from Stufish your set with references to the Barbican to bits of kintsugi dripping down the balconies and the exact same tiles as the tiles in the tunnel under Ocean Boulevard.”

‘Pat my loving Stage Manager and James. Lammy Joey and James, my perfect trifecta of sound. Molly Dixonthose dresses! Dolce and Gabbana, because they literally wrapped silk around my body for hours until I became a sparkling swimming pool.”

‘Etienne and Anna, who somehow made my eyes change color on stage with witchy brushstrokes of subtle peach makeup and light old Hollywood hair, and Tracey Cunningham, who made my hair the color of the desert has changed, just the way I wanted it to.’

‘And of course Paul, because he invited us. it was fun. I will see you soon.’
