Lana Del Rey announces upcoming 10-date mini-tour of North America for fall 2023

Fans of Lana Del Rey were in for a treat Monday when she announced an upcoming tour for the fall that will take her primarily across the American South and Southwest.

The 38-year-old singer-songwriter will embark on a modest 10-date tour starting in mid-September in Franklin, Tennessee, near Nashville.

She’s venturing out after making a splash last weekend when she joined Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne as one of the high-profile guests at the wedding of actress Margaret Qualley and musician, songwriter, and producer Jack Antonoff.

Lana announced her latest dates less than a week after wrapping up an even shorter tour, which included two solo dates and three festival appearances.

She promoted her most recent album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which was a hit with critics and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Coming soon: Lana Del Rey, 38, announced a 10-date mini-tour — plus a previously announced festival date — on Monday. It kicks off September 14 in Franklin, Tennessee; seen July 9 in London

On the road: Lana stops in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Maryland, and West Virginia in September and early October; seen Saturday in New Jersey

After kicking off her tour near Nashville on Sept. 14, Lana will travel south to Texas, stopping in Austin on Sept. 17 and one in Dallas on Sept. 19.

She will then play in Huntsville, Alabama on September 21, before traveling back to Florida on September 23 for a show in Wes Palm Beach.

After another stop in Tampa on Sept. 25, the Video Games lead singer will perform in Brandon, Mississippi on Sept. 27, before heading to Charlotte, North Carolina on Sept. 29.

Del Rey (born Elizabeth Grant) will break her new string of dates with the previously announced spot at the All Things Go Music Festival at the iconic Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, on Oct. 1.

She will then wrap up her tour with her only Northeast date in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 3, followed by a final show in Charleston, West Virginia, on Oct. 5.

The Norman F***ing Rockwell! The singer’s brief tour is a stark contrast to the schedule of some of her singer friends, including Taylor Swift, who recently wrapped up most of her first year of Eras Tour concerts, capping it off with a stunning six-night run at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles — making her the first act at that huge venue to schedule five or more shows on a single tour — before doing a few casual dates in Mexico and Brazil later this year.

Lana, who caught up with Taylor at Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff’s wedding over the weekend, also has a working relationship with the pop titan, as she joined Taylor on her Midnights track Snow On The Beach.

In an interview with Billboard as of February, Lana was surprised to be the only artist featured on Taylor’s hit album.

Southern tour: Lana will head mainly to the American South and Southwest, with only one tour date in the Northeast (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 3; seen July 10 in Paris

“First of all, I had no idea I was the only feature (on that song). If I had known, I would have sung the entire second verse the way she wanted,” she admitted.

“My job as a feature on a major artist’s album is to make sure I help with the production of the song, so I was more focused on the production. She was adamant that she wanted me to be on the album, and I really liked that song,” Del Rey added.

Although Snow On The Beach eventually became a top 10 hit for Swift and Del Rey, making it the latter singer’s highest-charting single, fans were upset that Lana’s vocals were relatively minimal and mixed fairly low.

Taylor fixed that with a subsequent deluxe edition of Midnights, which includes a bonus version of the song featuring “More Lana Del Rey,” though it was about 25 seconds shorter than the original mix.
