Lana Del Rey announces first-ever U.S. stadium show at Fenway Park after successfully headlining Coachella
Lana Del Rey will perform her first-ever headlining performance in the United States on June 20 at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park.
On Monday, the baseball stadium announced that the 38-year-old singer, who will release her first country album in September, would play a “very special show” for one night only.
“Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 10th at 10am ET,” the ballpark wrote on Facebook. ‘Set your alarm, tickets are going fast!’
The upcoming show follows her headlining set at Coachella earlier this month, for which the alternative pop star received critical acclaim.
Lana Del Rey will perform her first-ever headlining performance in the United States at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park on June 20 (to be seen in 2020)
She kicked off the annual music and arts festival in Indio, California by inviting Billie Eilish on stage to perform two songs with her.
The pair first performed Eilish’s 2016 song, Ocean Eyes, before dueting on Del Rey’s pop ballad Video Games, from her second studio album, Born to Die (2012).
A week later, she delighted attendees of Coachella weekend two with a surprise performance by Camila Cabello.
Although both of her headlining performances appeared to go off without a hitch, Del Rey revealed that her former tour manager, Peter Abbott, suddenly quit just over a month before the festival.
In her caption, she thanked a teammate named Emily “for stepping up as tour manager when Pete quit for no reason after fifteen years.”
Lana claimed he left because he hurt his butt because Wally gave me ten free bikes [Crowder] and arbitrarily decided he was more of a set designer than a tour manager…’
Wally helped the Summertime Sadness hitmaker choreograph her iconic motorcycle entrance and exit during the event.
Lana added that Pete’s departure came without warning, writing, “I never got a call and probably never will.”
The star continued to vent: “Still grateful for the 15 years. No worries – 37 days was more than enough time to put together a complete headlining set from scratch. Not stressful at all.’

She then praised Emily, writing, “Good job Emily, you killed it with grace.”
In the post, she also thanked her fans, the band Crowder, as well as special guests Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste and Jack Antonoff.
‘Thanks guys. For everything, Jack and John and Billie for showing up for me – and the band for just killing it and spending months in Sylmar in a 40 degree warehouse.”
She added that the cold temperatures caused her to “get a throat infection that literally went away just a few hours before I went on stage because Tessa DiPietro managed to remotely control the cough for two hours through her intuitive skills just minutes before the show.” had lifted from her body.’
Earlier this month, the alternative pop star, who will release her first country album in September, received rave reviews for her headlining set during both Coachella weekends.
She was previously scheduled to perform in 2020 before the festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic
She also thanked Wally “for my bad cycling.”
‘Every beautiful dancer on stage – and Alex for her beautiful choreography. My beautiful three singers who danced and sang in style and tall boots to match. Judah + Chelsea.”
‘Thank you to my managers Ben and Ed, who have made me laugh my whole crazy life, even when it all makes no sense.’
She also jokingly asked her managers to email them if they ever decided to quit.
‘PS please send me an email. If you decide to stop this year, 15 years is a long time for us too.’
Her performance at Coachella comes ten years after she last performed at the festival.
