Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will miss Wednesday night’s game against the visiting Miami Heat with a non-COVID illness.
The Lakers also ruled out guard Lonnie Walker IV with a sore left knee.
James had been listed as questionable due to pain in his left ankle before he fell ill.

The Lakers just completed a five-game road trip, going 3-2. One of the losses was a 112-98 loss to the Heat last Wednesday in Miami.
James is averaging 29.0 points per game to go with 8.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists.
Walker is averaging 14.7 points per game in 32 starts this season.
The Lakers continue to be without big man Anthony Davis, though ESPN reported Wednesday that his recovery is going well.
Lakers center Anthony Davis (3) has been out of action since November 25 with a toe injury.
The report also stated that Davis is “relatively free of pain.” Davis has started running again and then jumps, according to the report.
Davis suffered a stress injury to his foot on December 16.
Before getting injured, the star big man was averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
