Lagoon Row: Child drowns in Melbourne’s south-east
A young child has died in a horrific drowning.
Emergency services rushed to Lagoon Row in Officer, a suburb in Melbourne’s south-east, at around 5pm on Sunday evening.
The child was pulled unconscious from the water and died on the spot.

The age and gender of the child are not yet known.
The police do not consider the death suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
