Lady Gaga was seen in the role of Harley Quinn with Joaquin Phoenix in a still from the upcoming Joker: Folie à deux released on Tuesday.
The film’s director, Todd Phillips, shared the image of the characters, with the caption “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
The actress and singer, 36, was seen in the shot with her blonde locks swept back as she held Phoenix’s face as she looked into his eyes.
The take on the New York City native, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, generated a number of excited reactions in anticipation of the 2019 film’s sequel.

Phillips shared a shot of Phoenix, in character sitting in a barber chair while shaving his face, in December to mark that filming had begun.

The film, which also stars Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, will be filmed in both Los Angeles and New York, according to the hollywood reporter.
Phillips previously worked with Lady Gaga in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
He won his first Oscar in the category of Best Original Song for the film Shallow, along with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt.
She is currently nominated for Best Song at next month’s Oscars with BloodPop for the Top Gun: Maverick single Hold My Hand.
Gaga confirmed last summer that she would take on the role in the follow-up to the initial film, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, according to Mojo Box Office.
Phoenix won the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of the titular character and his alter ego Arthur Fleck.
Phillips was nominated for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay (with Scott Silver).
Joker: Folie à deux has a release date of October 4, 2024.
