Lachlan Murdoch superyacht: $150million ship almost ready for News Corp media mogul after five years

Lachlan Murdoch is one step closer to adding a new $150 million superyacht to his collection of luxury vessels.

The News Corp heir is set to take delivery of the superyacht after patiently waiting five years for it to be developed and ultimately built by Dutch company Royal Huisman.

The superyacht has been shrouded in secrecy and was dubbed Project 404 and cost at least $150 million.

Murdoch’s lavish spending comes despite the media giant facing two massive lawsuits.

The first is a $2.4 billion defamation lawsuit filed against Fox News Network and its parent company Fox Corp for their coverage of unsubstantiated claims of vote rigging in the United States.

The 51-year-old doesn’t seem too overwhelmed with the legal issues at hand as he awaits delivery of his fourth superyacht.

The 59.7m sailing yacht has been half a decade in the making and the details of her construction have been largely kept in the dark.

Photos of the boat were published by The times of superyachts and shed more light on the final appearance of the superyacht.

The vessel was designed by UK-based company Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and is currently awaiting launch from the Vollenhove shipyard in the Netherlands.

The ship features an ‘inverted bow’ and ‘sleek profile with powerful hull lines’ along with ultra-luxurious interior design by French company Studio Liaigre.

The company also equips houses and boats for the world’s ultra-rich families.

With space for 12 guests and 10 employees, you’ll have an outdoor dining area, wet bar, and multiple entertainment areas.

But that is not all.

According to Royal Huisman, the ‘unique and truly inspiring yacht’ will house ‘an extensive and luxurious beach club’, which is a luxurious outdoor pool and seating.

Fox News Network and its parent company, Fox Corp, have been the subject of a $2.4 billion defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems.

The firm, which is one of the largest providers of electronic vote counting machines in the US, claims its business was hurt by falsehoods broadcast by Fox News based on Donald Trump’s lie that his ballots were stolen. 2020 elections.
