Give him a round of a-paws! Adorable Goldendoodle wins hearts around the world after showing off his impressive tricks – including paddle boarding, skateboarding and yoga

A smart dog who performs impressive tricks including stand-up paddle boarding, yoga poses and jumping through hoops is a delight to dog lovers around the world.

Sandi Swiridoff, 63, from Oregon in the US, has taught her 10-year-old Australian labradoodle Reagan, 10, more than 20 tricks.

She documents his progress on his Instagram account @reagandoodle, which has more than 400,000 followers.

Sandi adopted her golden-haired pet when he was just eight weeks old and says adopting him was one of the best decisions she “ever made.”

Now Reagan has many impressive tricks under his belt, including skateboarding and yoga poses – activities that are difficult for a human, let alone a dog.

Sandi said: ‘He can do so many different tricks – from dance moves to yoga poses. His favorite is anything involving jumping, whether it’s over the arms or through hoops, and even jumping rope.

‘In addition to the basic principles such as sit, stay, lie down and roll over, Reagan has learned many others lately. In just a few months he has learned 25 new tricks.

“People are impressed with Reagan’s skills. Some are inspired to teach their own dog, and others say their dog could never do these kinds of tricks.

“As a puppy and young dog, Reagan took obedience classes. Basic training is very important, but trick training is so much more fun.’

In videos posted to the Instagram account, the skilled dog can be seen riding a skateboard, placing his front paws on the board and smartly propelling along with his hind legs.

In one photo he even appeared to be stand-up paddle boarding, although Sandi admitted she mounted him on the board.

Sandi says she proves you can teach an old dog new tricks, and she’s so proud of Reagan’s new skills.

He can give high fives, shake paws and ride toddler bikes with other children.

His proud owner added: ‘When I experienced the many benefits, I asked myself why I hadn’t trained him sooner.

‘To learn how to train, I watched videos on YouTube and followed some tips from trainers on Instagram.

‘I used a trick training book and an accompanying app.

‘I kept our workouts short but frequent and broke each trick into small steps. Positive reinforcement worked like a charm.”

The family adopted Reagan when he was eight weeks old and started uploading adorable photos of him to Instagram when he was six months old.

Sandi continued, “Reagan loves dressing up, he loves treats, loves the camera and loves people.

“He knows that where there are photo shoots, there are also treats and praise.

‘It is a connecting experience for us. Once he’s dressed up, it only takes a few minutes while I take the photos and he can be a ‘normal’ dog again.”

‘Reagan is great with children and other dogs. He hasn’t met another dog or person he doesn’t like yet.’

“Adopting Reagan was one of the best decisions we ever made. He has added so much joy to our lives and the lives of many other people.

Reagan previously sent the internet into overdrive with his cuteness overload when he was dressed in matching outfits with Sandi’s grandson.
