Labor MP Josh Burns denies X-rated penis gaffe in Parliament

Labor MP gets VERY defensive after making an X-rated penis blunder: ‘I didn’t say that! I did not say that!’

  • Josh Burns denies slip of the tongue in parliament
  • He accidentally said “circumcise” during a speech

A Labor MP has suffered a very unfortunate slip of the tongue in parliament.

Josh Burns immediately became defensive when colleagues across the room noticed him using the word “circumcise” in a sentence.

He said “the government has no intention of allowing reforms that would bend its power.”

Several members began to chuckle among themselves, prompting Western Australian MP Nola Marino to point out the faux pas and shout ‘circumcision! Bypass?’

Mr Burns said, ‘I didn’t say that, I didn’t say that… check the Hansard.

“Some incorrect interjections are being made, Mr. Deputy Chairman.”

The Hansard – an official transcript of speeches – confirmed that he did indeed use the word.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Mr Burns’ office for comment.

Burns brushed off the blunder later Thursday to give a follow-up speech on the Rainbow Community Angels, which aims to protect LGBTIQ+ children and their families from far-right extremism.

He then shared that speech on his social media channels, writing: “Hate, homophobia, transphobia and anti-Semitism have no place in our community.

“Rainbow Community Angels – we are proud of you, and we have your back.”
