Puka Nacua is one half of an elite wide receiver duo in the NFL alongside Cooper Kupp. The Los Angeles Rams may have to jettison the pair as there is interest from around the league in Kupp’s services.
The Rams are preparing to be sellers at the NFL trade deadline, with plenty of talent on their roster for rival teams to inquire about. Nacua spoke out this week about the possibility of losing Kupp or quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Los Angeles is 2-4 as Kupp and Nacua have suffered long-term injuries this season. Both receivers recently returned to practice with hopes of playing again on Sundays soon.
If the Rams don’t see promise for their current core, they can use it as capital to make some picks by getting rid of Kupp.
“Two experienced guys who are at the core of what we’re trying to do here in the Rams organization. Yeah, that wouldn’t feel great,” Nacua said of trading Stafford or Kupp The Zach Gelb Show.

Kupp’s teammate Puka Nacua really hopes his fellow receiver or Matthew Stafford doesn’t get treated
Nacua added that he hopes the rumors about Kupp or Stafford’s divorce aren’t true.
The Rams also have Kyren Williams, who has been arguably the team’s best player through six games.
Williams hasn’t seen his name linked to trade rumors as the deadline approaches.
The Rams had hoped to recreate the form that saw them reach the postseason last year and win the Super Bowl in 2022. Los Angeles seems far removed from that at the moment.
This year’s NFL trade deadline appears to be one of the most active in recent memory, in part due to the wave of player injuries that have plagued the league in the first seven weeks.
Only time will tell if the Rams talent is poached.
