The LA Rams have had trade talks revolving around superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Ramsey has still played at an elite level on the field and was recently named to the Pro Bowl.
He racked up 88 tackles, 18 pass breakups and four interceptions last year and started all 17 games this season.
LA seems a long way from glory, two-year Super Bowl glory, however, after finishing the season with a 5-12 record and in desperate need of salary cap space.
on the lid also has the Rams at minus -$14.9 million in space on Friday.
With a long list of holes to fill, a cornerback who makes as much money as Ramsey is too great a luxury for the team to afford, no matter how good he is.
LA also has question marks at the most important and most expensive quarterback position.
Matthew Stafford’s future remains uncertain due to injuries and backup quarterback Baker Mayfield will become a free agent.
