The Flavor of Love presenter explained in an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast why she finally decided to file for divorce in 2021, after being married for more than twenty years.

She explained that moving to New York City in 2011, when Melo was transferred to the Knicks, caused a lot of stress in their marriage.
“That’s not the only reason it didn’t work out, but it got tough in New York because it was constantly in the spotlight and people were watching every little thing,” the Sex And The City star admitted.
Adding to that, “It wasn’t all bad. We had great, great times,” La La confirmed that she was still on good terms with her ex-husband after the divorce.
“We’re still friends and we’re a great co-parent. Life is all about lessons and going through different phases, and that was a phase in my life, a chapter in my life,” she said.
