LA influencers slammed for stopping to take selfies and film themselves as deadly fires destroy everything

A shocking photo captured a group stopping to pose for smiling selfies near burning homes as raging wildfires ravaged Pacific Palisades, killing two and destroying thousands of homes.

Three major fires have destroyed more than a thousand structures and killed at least two people as flames move inland from the Pacific coast to Pasadena.

While the Los Angeles Fire Department has issued a plea for off-duty firefighters to help battle the blaze, influencers have been lambasted for pausing their evacuations to record themselves and take selfies.

An unknown group was caught entering an evacuation zone Tuesday to take selfie photos and videos near burning homes in the Eaton Fire.

Influencer Tara’s world was criticized for filming videos during the blackouts instead of evacuating.

“All the power is out in our house because we’re in a crazy storm and there are real fires going on, so we’re going on an overnight adventure,” she said Tuesday night.

Wednesday morning she included the debris was blown into her swimming pool and complained about the food in her refrigerator spoiling because the power was still out.

Commenters implored her to prepare for the evacuation by packing a bag and getting outside before the flames close in.

“This is the time to avoid it and get out, because as soon as that fire closes in, you’re toast,” one person said. ‘People’s priorities. I’m amazed,” said another.

“Put down all the cats and the dog [in the car] and get out of there. Just drive away as fast as you can,” a third person said.

A TikToker shared a video claiming she was ready to brag to her friends currently living in the polar vortex that she was in a warm place, but was shocked to hear about the fires.

“I come from a humid state, we don’t have forest fires. “I grew up thinking that firefighters literally just put out house fires,” she said.

She further complained that she didn’t know what to put in her bag and showed off some of her valuables.

“This is all my jewelry, because I’m not leaving this behind. These are all my clothes that I could live without, these are all my thrifted jewelry that I will never be able to find again and that I couldn’t live without.

“I have a few hats, this Rockies hat, I brought my collection of silk scarves. I’m not leaving this one behind. What do I pack? Should I pack nice things… what should I do?’

Commenters told her not to prioritize material items and to evacuate as quickly as possible.

Another influencer complained that she couldn’t save her belongings because she was at a resort in Mexico with her partner – despite the fact that people in LA are in physical danger and she isn’t

‘Girl important papers, pets, family and get out. Material things don’t matter… that’s your life,” one person said. “Things can go from bad to worse in a matter of minutes, take what you can and go.”

Another influencer complained that she couldn’t save her belongings because she was at a resort in Mexico with her partner – despite the fact that people in LA are in physical danger and she is not.

“If you’re in Mexico and you can’t evacuate your apartment and cars and now it’s burned down in the Palisades fire,” she said.

‘Crying, laughing in discomfort, sad that we couldn’t get stuff, happy that we are safe. We are trying to enjoy our business trip, but would like to be home. I need all the prayers we can get.”

In a second video, she filmed herself sobbing at the resort as an upbeat song played in the background.

“What the hell is this,” she said. “Our apartment just burned down, our cars and we’re on vacation in Mexico and this is the damn song.”

“Should we dance it out,” his partner said.

Commentators criticize the cyclist for waiting so long to leave and being surprised by his attempt to take the paintings with him.

‘That’s so nice. “My only mode of transportation is a bicycle and I can’t imagine trying to transport anything in that situation,” one person said.

“That one painting is a $300 million Van Gogh,” someone speculated. He’s doing well, home or no home,” said another.

California Governor Gavin Newsom was criticized after he shared a video of himself monitoring wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

The Democrat said he was on the scene Tuesday in Pacific Palisades as the inferno spread across Southern California, killing at least two and significantly injuring many, officials said.

But his critics viewed the image as a photo-op as they blamed Newsom for the fires.
