LA Dodgers’ $700m man Shohei Ohtani goes viral for VERY bizarre, X-rated celebration
Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani set the Internet alight on Wednesday with what was being called a “bizarre celebration” against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Just minutes into the first inning, the $700 million man raised eyebrows after sliding across the ground and stealing a base in the first inning.
After stealing second base with two outs, Ohtani jumped up, removed his left batting glove and began shaking it repeatedly near his groin area.
ESPN’s broadcast did not comment on the gesture and left it off the replay, but fans were quick to grab the clip and share their thoughts on social media.
‘Someone needs to tell Ohtani that [Bryson] “Stott is a happily married man,” one user wrote, referring to the Phillies second baseman.

“He must have lost a bet,” added another, while a third noted that “he won’t get a fine.”
“It’s normal in baseball to smash the catcher you just hit,” a fourth noted.
While many resorted to lewd expressions during the celebration, other users pointed out that the Japanese star was shaking the dust from his glove.
“I honestly don’t know if he was doing something crazy or just trolling,” one user wrote. “He was shaking dirt out of his glove down the slide.”
“Shake the dirt out of that glove, Ohtani,” another chimed in with an emoji of himself flexing his biceps.
On his next turn at bat, Ohtani hit an RBI single to center field, tying the score and going 2-for-2 for the night.
