Police rushed to Kamala’s Harris’ evacuated home in Brentwood on Saturday after burglaries were reported as lawlessness in Los Angeles spiraled into the worst fires in history.

Ultimately, two people were arrested for violating the curfew, with police finding no evidence that they were outside the vice president’s home to commit a robbery.

However, the incident speaks to the fear gripping neighborhoods ravaged by fire. Looting is now rampant as the flames continue to destroy homes. At least 20 people have been arrested for looting in evacuation zones around Los Angeles.

The fires ravaging California have killed at least 16 people and destroyed more than 10,000 structures, as firefighters return to their sixth day of battling the blazes.

The strong winds that have fueled the deadly bushfires are expected to last until next week, raising fears of further destruction.

The Palisades Fire is the largest of Los Angeles’ wildfires, burning through 23,707 acres of the Pacific enclave and only 11 percent contained, according to CalFire.

The Eaton Fire in Pasadena is the deadliest fire, accounting for 11 deaths, scorching 14,117 acres and being 15 percent contained.

The Kenneth Fire in Los Angeles and Ventura County is 90 percent contained, and the Hurst Fire in the City of Los Angeles is 76 percent contained.

LAPD were called to the scene around 4:30 a.m. but were not on the premises when they were detained.

Five major fires continue to burn in LA: Updates

As California’s wildfire crisis enters its fifth day, here’s a look at the status of Sunday morning’s largest wildfires:

The largest of the Los Angeles wildfires has burned 23,654 acres and leveled homes, businesses and structures from the Pacific Palisades to the Pacific Coast Highway near Malibu.

So far the fire is believed to have killed at least five people and is only 11% contained.

In the most recent development, the fire exploded in the Mandeville Canyon area after spreading into the neighborhood and the Brentwood neighborhood, partially closing the 405 Freeway.

The Eaton Fire broke out on Tuesday and has since destroyed 14,005 hectares of land.

The fire resulted in evacuation orders for those in Altadena and Pasadena, with more people ordered to flee Thursday as the flames could encroach on Mount Wilson.

Residents of Glenoaks Canyon and Chevy Chase Canyon have since been allowed to return home, with the fire 15% contained.

It is estimated that the Eaton Fire destroyed 7,000 structures and was responsible for the deaths of 8 people.

The Kenneth Fire extends through Los Angeles and Ventura counties and has burned 2,500 acres (1,052 hectares) of land to date.

The fire has been 90% contained since it broke out on Thursday and previous evacuation orders have since been lifted.

The smallest of the fires, the Fire, is currently 76% contained and has affected 799 hectares.

Evacuation orders were issued for the areas around Sylmar, but have since been lifted.
