Kyrie Irving courts MORE controversy as he reposts anti-vax conspiracy theories on Instagram

Kyrie Irving has sparked controversy yet again after spending Saturday reposting anti-vaccine, anti-government and social media propaganda to his Instagram Story.

The oft-controversial NBA star has struggled on the court of late, with the Dallas Mavericks riding a three-game losing streak and a 3-10 run that has knocked them out of an entry spot in the Western Conference. .

Perhaps in an attempt to forget about the latest loss on Friday night, Irving opted to spend his day off posting on his Instagram, in part complaining about the excessive use of social media in his 45-hour posting spree.

It’s not the first time Irving has risked the wrath of the NBA for activity on his social media accounts, after he was previously suspended for posting a link to an anti-Semitic film in October.

He also drew attention in a wide-ranging Twitch stream earlier this month in which he claimed he’s not a “free” man and argued against perceived rhetoric that he’s “the only cancer” in locker rooms at the nba.

He posted various anti-vaccine conspiracies and took aim at users’ overreliance on social media.

He has also previously posted flat earth conspiracy theories on his social media and is widely regarded as one of the most controversial figures in the NBA.

In his latest wave of posts, he took aim at Bill Gates by reposting a video assessing his role in vaccine production and how it profited from the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Not shying away from the big issues, he also touched on the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, reposting a tweet that laid out a potential scenario where “more banks will fail and the financial system will fail.” [will] spiral out of control.’

In a separate post, he also posted a quote saying, “unlearning all the false information we’ve been programmed with takes time and patience.” You got it.’

The topic he focused on most repetitively in his Instagram posts on Saturday was the overuse of social media, posting several images showing people’s brains powered by Twitter, Instagram and Facebook likes.

Irving was previously suspended by the NBA for posting a video promoting anti-Semitism.

He posted a bizarre drawing of a man with an iPhone strapped to his face and spoke about “unlearning false information” in one of his 45 far-reaching posts on Saturday.

He also reposted a video about Covid propaganda and urged his fans to ‘break free’.

The irony was not lost on social media users, with one writing on Twitter: “Kyrie loves to post about how using social media and mobile phones is ruining all of our lives and destroying our brains.”

On the court, Irving requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets earlier this year and has played 14 times for the Dallas Mavericks since.
