Kym Ellery: Baby joy for fashion designer who moved to Paris to live a lavish life after quitting Australia with unpaid bills of $2.6MILLION

A top Australian fashion designer who moved her company to Paris because she owes a multi-million dollar debt to creditors has announced she is expecting her second child this year.

Kym Ellery, 39, revealed her growing baby bump in an Instagram post on Thursday, as she shared a series of photos, including her latest ultrasound.

She dressed her pregnant figure in a black glitter dress, designed by ‘uncle’ Duran Lantink.

“And then there were four more,” she wrote with the photo series on her page.

“We have another love bundle coming soon, we can’t wait to meet you baby girl.”

Social media users congratulated the designer, who said she is “feeling great.”

The celebrated fashionista rose to success after moving from Perth to Sydney and becoming an overnight sensation, gaining fame at Paris Fashion Week.

But it all came crashing down in April 2019 when her company Ellery Land went bankrupt, owing $2,569,738.55 to creditors, including several family-owned businesses.

She has since rebuilt her fashion empire in Paris, while the companies she left behind are still struggling to recover from the brutal financial blow that came on the eve of the Covid lockdowns.

This comes after Ellery moved from Australia to Paris in 2019, leaving behind nearly $2.6 million in debt to bankrupt creditors.

“All I can say is that in the end I did my best,” Ellery said in 2023.

Since leaving the country, she has showcased her success abroad in a series of photo shoots and promotional interviews while living in a luxury apartment in Paris.

She even gave birth to her firstborn, Armand.

Ellery denies she fled Australia to avoid her company’s debts, including a long list of destroyed fashion warehouses, jewelery manufacturers and modeling agencies.
