Kylie Minogue set to make cameo appearance in new Binge series Strife alongside Asher Keddie

Kylie Minogue is returning to the small screen with a new acting job.

The Australian pop icon will make an unlikely guest appearance in the upcoming Binge series Strife, starring acclaimed actor Asher Keddie.

The series, which premieres on December 6, is set in the tumultuous world of digital publishing.

Minogue will step into the shoes of Gwen, a character that reflects her real-life stardom.

The show’s story puts Gwen in the spotlight in an unexpected way when unedited photos from a photo shoot, which were never intended for the public, appear on the website run by Keddie’s character, Evelyn Jones.

The plot becomes even more complicated when Minogue and Keddie’s characters cross paths at a high-profile charity event, setting the stage for a riveting encounter.

This exciting casting development comes as no surprise, given the off-screen camaraderie and shared management between Minogue and Keddie.

Keddie expressed her excitement about Minogue joining the cast, citing both the challenge and the chemistry Minogue would bring to the dynamic between Evelyn and Gwen.

“Because Evelyn would be competing against Gwen, we knew right away that we wanted to offer the role to Kylie,” Keddie said. The Daily Telegraph.

“With her fierce intellect, I knew it would be quite a challenge, but with our simpatico friendship, I was sure it would be the perfect storm. When her answer was a resounding yes, we were all overjoyed.”

The upcoming series was filmed in Sydney earlier this year and will star Jonathan LaPaglia, Alex Dimitriades, Emma Lung, Lincoln Younes and Bebe Bettencourt.

Strife will premiere on Bge in 2024.
