With Tension II she hopes to match the success of Tension. Tension surpassed the top 20 of the British charts, became her ninth number 1 album and earned Kylie her second Grammy.
Tension’s lead single Padam Padam was released in May 2023 and is a dance-pop and synth-pop song with elements of electronic music and Eastern European sounds.

Major radio stations refused to play Padam Padam, but fans managed to get the song into the UK top 10 through streaming and downloads.
“Of course it’s a great moment for me, but it’s also a great moment for other artists, especially women, who have that kind of prejudice or bias against themselves,” Kylie said. People until 2023.
“So, like I said, I didn’t set out to do this. I was also the youngest kid where I had to fight to be heard or just take up my space. The negative reaction back then was, ‘Well, you’re 18. What do you know?’ So, throughout all the decades of my career, there’s been something, and here we are,” she continued.
