Kylie Minogue says she won’t be slowing down as she knows her fame isn’t ‘eternal’ – and reveals how Covid lockdowns helped her career
Kylie Minogue is keen to make the most of her newfound success following the release of her massive hit single Padam Padam as she knows fame won’t last forever.
The pop icon, 55, is one of the best-selling female Australian artists of all time, having sold more than 80 million records worldwide during her decades-long career.
But after a hiatus in her career, the hitmaker has returned to mainstream success and is refusing to let it slip through her fingers.
‘I said to someone at my label: it’s happening now. There is no snoozing. I’m super inspired right now,” Kylie shared Billboard.
“I’m at a point in my life where I know it won’t last forever. I just want to maximize this brilliant wave.”

She went on to say that any artist who doesn’t make the most of their success will have “no hope” of longevity.

Kylie’s new passion for studio technology allows her to work remotely from anywhere in the world and create an entire production on her own.
“It’s so liberating… To have my own microphone and do it on my own time? It is awesome. “I could go on for hours,” she said.
Kylie’s career is going strong after earning her second Grammy this year for Padam Padam and she is currently halfway through her Las Vegas residency.

Insiders told The Sun that the deal on the table is a ‘residency for life’, meaning Kylie can come in and out whenever she wants to perform.
