Kylie Minogue announces huge update for her long-awaited 2025 Australian tour amid sky-high demand for tickets

Kylie Minogue has announced she is adding more dates to her 2025 Australian tour due to huge demand for tickets.

The 56-year-old Australian pop legend confirmed her world tour dates earlier this week, with the initial Telstra pre-sale selling out quickly as fans scrambled to get their hands on tickets.

Now Kylie has added three additional Australian dates to her highly anticipated tour, ahead of pre-sales via Frontier Touring and Kylie.com which kick off on Thursday.

She had already announced seven impressive shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, but she has now added even more concerts.

She has added a third Sydney performance, on March 3 at Qudos Bank Arena, following her two previous shows at the 21,000-capacity venue the nights before.

The Padam Padam hitmaker will also perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 27, following her first show at the venue on February 26.

Melbourne also has an extra gig at Rod Laver Arena on February 22, bringing the number of gigs in the city to three.

Kylie will also perform her biggest run of shows Down Under since her 2011 Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour in Perth on February 15 and Adelaide on February 18.

Tickets for her now ten-concert Australian tour are in high demand, with the first Telstra pre-sale selling out within hours on Tuesday.

Pre-sale for both Kylie.com and Frontier Touring members begins Thursday, with general on-sale scheduled for Wednesday, October 2.

It’s Kylie’s first tour Down Under since 2019 and comes after her headlining performance at the Splendour In The Grass festival earlier this year was cancelled.

In addition to her performances in Australia, Kylie will also perform in Asia and the United Kingdom.

“I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans around the world, celebrating the Tension era and beyond,” she enthused in an announcement this week.

‘It’s been an exciting ride so far and now get ready for your close-up because I’m going to shout Lights, Camera, Action… and there’s going to be a whole lot of Padaming!’

Coinciding with her epic world tour, Kylie also confirmed that she will be treating her fans to even more music as she prepares to release a new album, titled Tension II.

With Tension II she hopes to equal the success of Tension. The album outsold the entire top 20 in the British charts, became her ninth number 1 album and earned Kylie her second Grammy.

The first single from her new album, titled Lights Camera Action, will premiere on Friday, followed by a whole series of other songs.

She achieved great success with Tension’s lead single Padam Padam, which was released in May 2023 and is a dance-pop and synth-pop song with elements of electronic music and Eastern European sounds.

The hit was very well received by critics, with many praising its catchiness and hook. It also won the first prize for Best Pop Dance Recording at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in February.
