Kylie Minogue admits she was ‘miffed’ to see Neighbors return after filming the emotional finale last year following the show’s so-called cancellation: ‘Happy is probably not the emotion’
Kylie Minogue has spoken out about Neighbors’ imminent return to Amazon Freevee.
The superstar, 55, joked that she was ‘miffed’ about the show’s imminent return after the soap was canceled last year.
Kylie, who rose to fame on the series playing the character of Charlene, made a surprise cameo for the star-studded finale last July.
Kylie appeared on a UK radio show and was asked if she was happy after news of the beloved soap’s return.
“Yeah, happy probably isn’t the emotion,” Kylie told Scotland’s hosts Taylor FMafter someone said the finale was a ‘waste of time’.

“You know, miffed might have been the word,” she added with a laugh.
“But I know, talking to the producer, they really didn’t know [if it was coming back]so all the affection and love that went into the last episode was truth,” she added.
Kylie left the show in 1988 to pursue a pop career.
In the star-studded 90-minute finale of Neighbors last July, the long-running Australian soap took the ratings for the first time in more than a decade.
The episode, which wrapped up the series after 37 years, drew 873,000 subway viewers in Australia, thanks in large part to its cast of recurring favorites such as Guy Pearce, Holly Valance and Jason Donovan, who played Kylie’s on-screen boyfriend, Scott.
Meanwhile, filming is already underway for the reboot, which was announced last November by streaming platforms Freevee and Prime Video.
