Kylian Mbappé’s X account was hacked last night after the Real Madrid star’s page posted a series of bizarre messages.
Mbappe, 25, has made a strong start to life in the Spanish capital after completing his blockbuster move to the Bernabeu this summer.
The French forward has scored once in three games and has already won his first trophy for Carlo Ancelotti’s side after they beat Atalanta earlier this month to win the UEFA Super Cup.
However, on Wednesday night, Mbappé shared a series of messages on his account that were allegedly linked to a cryptocurrency scam, which included insults directed at eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi and claimed he was on the verge of joining Manchester United.
One post said: ‘Cristiano Ronaldo is the best footballer of all time. The dwarf [Lionel Messi] is NOT my goat.’

Bizarre posts on Real Madrid star’s account appear to have slammed Lionel Messi
He called eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi “a dwarf” and said Cristiano Ronaldo was better
Another post read: ‘Manchester is red’, before Mbappé later dropped another transfer hint: ‘Yo @ManCity… lol lured, I’m going to @ManUTD. 2028 LET US DO IT WITH A FREE TRANSFERRRR.’
Mbappe also claimed that fan account @UTDTrey is ‘the best account’, while describing Tottenham as ‘s***’.
A report in The Mirror said the hack was related to the ‘MBAPPE’ crypto token. The value of these tokens rose to tens of millions of pounds within minutes of the reports, before plummeting and returning to a value of zero.
All messages have since been deleted by Mbappe and the French superstar has not yet commented on the hack. The 25-year-old is seen as yet another high-profile victim of crypto fraud.
Mbappe’s pinned tweet during the hack said: ‘I give back to my community. I give back to my community. I support Crypto and I believe you should too! All Crypto sent to my address will be sent back to you double!’
Several users responded to the messages on Mbappé’s account, with one saying: ‘Where the f*** is his PR team, this is unacceptable’, while another added: ‘Apparently Mbappé’s PR team doesn’t exist?’
Others saw the humor in some of the messages. One person said: ‘Mbappé is a United fan, I knew that all along.’
Another fan joined in the conversation: ‘Hacked before he could score a LaLiga goal, smh.’
Real have four points from two games in LaLiga, having only drawn 1-1 at Mallorca on the opening day.
Mbappe forms a strong forward line with the likes of Rodrygo and Vinicius Jnr, although the Frenchman is yet to score his first competitive goal.
The bizarre messages were thought to be part of a crypto scam and have all since been removed
Carlo Ancelotti has praised Mbappe’s impact despite the forward yet to score in the league
Despite this, Ancelotti remained relaxed about the situation and said he was happy to have Mbappe on board after the club had been searching for the forward for years.
“His last goal was on August 14 (in the Super Cup),” he said. “It’s only been two weeks, that’s not a cause for concern.
‘Neither we nor he are worried as a club. He is very happy here, delighted, he definitely wants to score in the next game.
‘That also applies to Vinicius, who hasn’t scored yet this season and I don’t think he has anything to worry about.’
