Mbappe hit social media after the club released a promotional video featuring season tickets almost exclusively featuring the 24-year-old striker.
The public division led many to speculate that the former Monaco star could be on his way to the Parc des Princes, but Mbappé has since reaffirmed his desire to secure the first-ever Champions League title for the Parisian club.
In an interview with the French broadcaster Public Senat per IFFayza Lamari defended her son’s actions, but revealed that she warned him not to go public by announcing his dissatisfaction with the club.

Mbappe released a statement criticizing the club for appearing almost exclusively in a promotional video
“He called me and he was angry. I understood how he felt and I told him “Right now, in the heat of the moment, is not the time to react, leave it for now and there will be time to ask for an explanation later”.
“And he replied, ‘No, I don’t want to wait. I know the consequences and I will accept them.'”
Superstar teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar were completely absent from the promotional video, with Mbappe stating he was unaware of how the material would be used by the club.
“Just joined the viewing of the club’s renewal campaign for the 23/24 season,” he wrote on his Instagram.
‘I was not informed at any time about the content of the conversation with my interlocutor. It looked like a simple interview at a club marketing day. I do not agree with this posted video.
The 24-year-old concluded statement by claiming the club is ‘definitely not Kylian Saint Germain’
‘That’s why I fight for individual image rights. PSG is a big club and a big family, but it’s definitely not Kylian Saint Germain.’
Christophe Galtier’s side are currently at the top of Ligue 1, beating title rivals Lens 3-1 on Saturday thanks to first-half goals from Mbappé, Messi and Vitinha.
The result means two league wins for Les Parisiens, after back-to-back defeats threatened the Frenchman’s position at the helm of the French capital club.
