Aurelien Tchouameni became the latest Real Madrid star to speak out about Kylian Mbappe’s future, and it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will move to the club in the summer.
There are mixed messages about Mbappe’s next move with his contract at PSG set to expire this summer and Madrid expected to secure the World Cup winner’s services.
Rodrygo has already admitted he would ‘love’ the 25-year-old to move to the Santiago Bernabeu and now Tchouameni has spoken out about his national team-mates’ next move.
The Madrid midfielder was used as a makeshift defender in Tuesday’s Champions League win over RB Leipzig and revealed Mbappe was the subject of discussion in the dressing room.
‘Has Mbappé told me his decision for next season? I personally? Not really. And even if he had told me, I wouldn’t have said it!

Tchouameni described talks surrounding Mbappé’s possible move to Madrid as an ‘important topic’
‘We talk about it every now and then in the dressing room, it is an important topic. We hope things will calm down in the coming weeks,” he said.
The pair star alongside each other in the French national team, where Mbappé is captain, and it is expected that they will soon be together at club level as well.
His statement that Mbappe is being discussed in the Madrid camp is in stark contrast to manager Carlo Ancelotti, who refused to answer a question about the Parisian after Saturday’s crucial LaLiga victory over title rivals Girona.
However, reports in recent days suggest that the player’s representatives have doubts about Madrid’s bid, despite planning to make him the club’s highest-paid player.
The submitted offer is believed to be lower than what was proposed during previous negotiations in 2022, before he extended his stay in France.

The 25-year-old has been touted for a move to Madrid since bursting onto the scene as a youngster in Monaco.
He eventually joined the Parisians in a £163 million transfer in 2017, despite Madrid also trying to compete for his signature at the time.
Mbappe has since flourished, winning numerous titles with PSG and guiding France to the World Cup in 2018, and another final lost to Argentina on penalties four years later.
However, the Champions League has escaped the star striker’s grasp, despite PSG’s ambitions to become European champions and a move to Madrid beckons.
