Kylian Mbappe’s impending departure from PSG appears to have turned sour after reports that the French giants owe him money.

Mbappe won the Coupe de France in his last match on Saturday, but behind the scenes things don’t seem to be going well between Mbappe and PSG.
According to L’EquipeMbappé has not been paid his salary for April and has yet to receive a bonus dating back to February.
L’Equipe’s report states that not making these payments to Mbappe has saved the club around €80 million (£68 million).

PSG and Mbappe’s lawyers are now trying to negotiate the player’s departure from the club after a difficult last 12 months for the forward.
Mbappe was left out of PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia last summer due to uncertainty over his future. He was subsequently placed on their ‘unwanted’ list and had to train away from the first team because he refused to sign a contract extension.
He subsequently agreed to stay for another year and was reintegrated into the squad by manager Luis Enrique.
Mbappe put aside speculation about his future as he scored 44 goals in 48 games in 2023/24, leading PSG to the Ligue 1 title, the French Cup and the Champions League semi-finals.
But as it became increasingly likely that he would leave the club at the end of the season, Mbappe was regularly substituted for Enrique in matches, leaving the winger visibly frustrated.
