Kylian Mbappe has seemingly branded a future El Clasico rival as a ‘son of ab***h’ after a clash at the 2024 European Championship.

Mbappe made his first start for France at the tournament since breaking his nose in his side’s first match against Austria, donning a protective mask to protect him from the injury.

However, it hasn’t quite done its job yet, with the Real Madrid striker wincing in pain after being hit while challenging for the ball.

The man he ultimately clashed with was Robert Lewandowski, the Polish striker who plays for one of Mbappe’s future rivals thanks to his free transfer to Madrid from Barcelona.

Cameras recorded Mbappe’s reaction to the collision, and he was none too pleased with his performance in bashing the Polish striker.

However, it was all hugs full-time as the pair made up moments after Mbappe expressed his frustration

WARNING: strong language

But it was all fine after that, as the pair hugged on the pitch as the whistle blew to confirm the 1-1 draw.

The two are set to play one of the biggest matches in world football next season, following Mbappe’s move to Madrid.

He had long been linked with a move away from PSG and eventually left in the summer after his contract expired, joining the likes of Vinicius Jr. and Just Bellingham in the Spanish capital.

Lewandowski has been at Barca since 2022 but faces an uncertain future as Handsi Flick takes over from club legend Xavi ahead of next season.

The match is regularly regarded as the biggest game in Spain, with Madrid winning all three matches the two played against each other last season.

The clash occurred towards the end of the match, with Mbappe removing his mask and holding his nose as he protested the challenge.

As Lewandowski shielded the ball, Mbappe tried to tackle him from behind, with the Polish man throwing his arms in the air and hitting his opponent on the nose.

TV cameras zoomed in on the France captain, looking at his injury, as he appeared to shoot Lewandowski.

Both players scored in the match, with Mbappe scoring his first goal of the tournament from the penalty spot to give his side the lead in the second half.

Both men scored in the match, with Lewandowski scoring his side’s goal from the penalty spot eleven minutes from time.

However, Lewandowski himself scored from the penalty spot eleven minutes from time to level the score, and the match ended 1-1.

It was not without controversy, however, with Lewandowski first seeing his effort saved by Mike Maignan, but after VAR ruled the French goalkeeper had come off his line.

The second penalty was scored, putting France second in Group D behind the Netherlands.
