Kyle Walker is hoping ex Lauryn Goodman will stop ‘stinging’ him on social media in the new year as he claims the reality star is using his name to stay in the spotlight.
The footballer has apparently hit back amid a backlash after it emerged he had not sent Christmas presents for their two children this year.
Kyle, who shares four children with wife Annie Kilner, had an affair with Lauryn, with whom he fathered a son, Kairo. It later emerged that he had fathered a second child, Kinara, with the influencer.
Although the footballer did not give Kairo and Kinara any gifts, Kyle has always been committed to fully supporting them financially, but decided to take an emotional step back since last year.
An insider told MailOnline: ‘Kyle has never been involved in the children’s parties and hasn’t brought any gifts, apart from a coat for Kairo a few years ago.
“The latest story appears to be that Lauryn is using his name to stay in the spotlight and promote her businesses, including her canceled podcast.

“He is not part of Lauryn’s children’s daily lives, but supports them financially, paying for their home, school and more. He has always been committed to that.
“But he decided to take an emotional step back and has had no contact with Lauryn or the children since last year.
‘He made that decision to protect his relationship with Annie and their four children, especially as the elderly see all this happening on social media.
“Kyle and Annie want to put this all behind them in 2025 and move on without the drama. They hope Lauryn will do the same instead of goading them on social media.”
Meanwhile, a source close to Lauryn said: “Lauryn has continued with her life with the children and is making sure they are protected even though it has been difficult for them, especially Kairo who is asking for his father.
“It’s really sad that he doesn’t stand up for all his children and you would think he would have learned that lesson by not doing it the first time.”

The reality star, 33, posted the image to her Instagram, showing her children Kairo and Kinara approaching a Christmas tree surrounded by a pile of presents.

She added that she knew Christmas could be lonely for some, so she passed on her love.
Lauryn made no further comment on the alleged absence of Kyle’s contribution, instead focusing on creating a festive atmosphere for her children, sharing snippets of their celebrations with her followers.
She also shared a video of her time in Lapland, Britain, with her two ‘babies’, who she shares with the Manchester City footballer, describing it as a ‘magical day’ that they ‘loved’.
Elsewhere, The sun reported that his decision has caused unrest among mutual friends who hoped he would “put aside his differences.”
The source said: “All their mutual friends have spoken to Kyle. They are very angry with the children and with Lauryn, who always tries to do the right thing for their children.

Dressed in adorable teddy bear and bunny pajamas from Mommy’s N minis, Lauryn showed off the two little ones as they walked to the decorated tree surrounded by a pile of presents.

Another insider close to Kyle claimed that even though he provides for his children financially, he has never been part of their Christmas celebrations.
Annie kicked Kyle out of the marital home in January this year after learning he had fathered daughter Kinara, his second child with influencer Lauryn.
She let him attend the birth of their fourth son Rezon this spring, and after a harmonious summer vacation with the family, she let him live with them again in September.
Kyle spent time at their home with the kids on Christmas Day, but the couple have not yet fully reconciled.
A source said: ‘It’s been a tough road and they’re up and down. At this point, they don’t know if they can fully reconcile.
‘The ultimate goal is for the children to do well. They don’t know if they will make it as a couple.’
The source added: “When they broke up, they said they would stay united for the kids. The divorce is pending and they are still discussing what the next year could look like for them. They continue to live together.
“Despite everything that has been thrown at them, and not just by Lauryn, they continue amicably. It hasn’t been easy for a number of reasons. However, they have been a couple for 17 years, so there is a lot of history.

Annie has filed for divorce and a share of Walker’s £27 million fortune because she wants financial security.
However, it is clear that she is not yet taking legal action to dissolve the marriage.
She could opt for a “no-split divorce,” where they would continue to live together and co-parent, but would give her a financial settlement.
The couple have four children Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, Reign, six and baby Rezon.
Kyle’s son Kairo with Lauryn was born in 2020 after an affair, and daughter Kinara in 2023 after Kyle and Lauryn met at a law firm to discuss child support. It is believed he has no contact with the children.
In an interview a few days after the paternity scandal broke, he said: “What I did is terrible and I take full responsibility.”
In June, Annie took the children to Germany to see Walker and his England teammates at the European Championships. After they defeated Spain in the final, he found himself in court for a showdown with Lauryn over money.
