Kyle Sandilands has an interesting theory about why there was no winner in Thursday night’s Powerball lotto draw.
According to The Lott’s website, no gambler had all the numbers for the $100 million Division One prize.
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday morning, the 51-year-old radio host said he had put a hex on the jackpot.

“I think I know the answer,” he began.
Kyle explained that the night before the numbers were drawn, he “prayed” for a miracle.
“I prayed to Jesus and went into my own mind. I said, “Dear Jesus, please let me win the free money.”‘
Kyle said he quickly changed his mind about wanting to win because he wanted the prize money to be higher and beat the Australian record holder.

Kyle said he “prayed” for a miracle that night before the numbers were drawn, before quickly changing his mind about his desire to win.
“And then I started arguing with Jesus and I said, ‘Look, I don’t really want $100 million,'” he added. “If I win it myself, I’ll only be the second highest lottery winner in Australian history. Some woman won 107 million.’
“I started to say, ‘You know, I can’t win the lottery and be the second highest win.'”
Kyle continued, “So I said to Jesus, ‘Don’t let anyone win!'”
His co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson explained how she made a similar phone call a few hours before the draw.

“Well, I prayed to Jesus too. Isn’t that funny?’ said Jackie.
“I said, ‘Jesus, please, please, please, if I win this lotto, I promise I’ll share a lot of it with charity.'”
“Jesus doesn’t care about charity!” Kyle interrupted him.
Jackie added that she stayed up late waiting for the winning call that never came.
“However, it shows that when people buy that many tickets, you are really more likely to be struck by lightning,” she continued.
The next draw will take place next Thursday, October 27 with a $160 million jackpot
The radio hosts later asked their colleagues if they had entered Thursday night’s lotto, to which newscaster Brooklyn Ross replied that they hadn’t.
“He’s a naysayer, he won’t do anything. You didn’t talk to Jesus last night either!’ said Kyle.
There were 15 winners in Thursday night’s second division Powerball, with a prize pool of over $2 million.
The next draw will take place on Thursday, October 27 with a $160 million jackpot.
On Thursday morning’s show, Kyle and Jackie O discussed organizing a syndicate among their colleagues.
“If I win that, I don’t know if I’d tell anyone,” said Jackie O.
She then quickly changed her mind after one of her colleagues told them to split the profits equally.
“We’re on the ‘rich people already’ team and you’re on the ‘never have money to scratch together’ team,” Kyle joked.
