Kyle Sandilands has revealed that he was offered a whopping $1 million to appear on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! -But he refused the money.

The shock jock said he called off the deal after the show failed to match the money Shane Warne received when the late cricket great appeared on the hit reality series in 2016.

“I told you Warnie got $2 million so forget it,” he said during The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old radio star added that the show’s producers would even allow her to smoke, as long as it was offscreen, just as they did when Warne starred on the show.

Kyle’s comments came during a live chat with radio star Woody Whitelaw, 35, who officially joined the cast this season.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson asked Woody, who co-hosts KIIS FM’s Will & Woody show, how much he was paid to appear on the reality series, which will film next month in South Africa.

“He loves money, um,” Kyle interrupted, before Woody could respond.

Jackie persisted after Woody sounded reluctant to answer, suggesting that the money on offer was “between $80,000 and 150,000”.

After Woody agreed that it was, Kyle bragged about his offer of a million dollars plus “smoking” for the series.

Elsewhere in the chat, Woody said he had heard rumors that showbiz journalist Angela Bishop and boxer Harry Garside will join him in the jungle for the real-life adventure series.

Woody added that there was even talk of superstar Russell Crowe joining the cast of I’m a Celebrity… this season.

A recent trailer for the Channel 10 show has confirmed that a footballer, comedian, boxer and chef have signed up, with an inside source recently weighing in on potential selections.

‘Rugby league star Sam Burgess would have to be the favourite. And the comedian is either Tommy Little or Peter Helliar,” a source told New Idea.

The next season of I’m a Celebrity will be filmed in South Africa.
