It was a great night for Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on Saturday at the 2022 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs).

The stars of KIIS FM’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show took home three awards and the ultimate honor of being inducted into the Australian Commercial Radio Hall Of Fame.

The duo took home awards – winning the top prize for Best On-Air Team in the metropolitan FM category for a record eighth time.

The Kyle & Jackie O Hour of Power won Best Networked Program and Kyle was named Best Entertainment Presenter.

“As much as I’d love to go on and on about how wonderful Jackie and I are, what’s being introduced at Commercial Radio Hall is our chemistry,” Kyle said of the pair’s win.

“Chemistry is one of those things you either have or you don’t, and it can never be faked. Even 22 years ago, when Jackie and I first started working together, I knew we had something unique and special,” he added.

Jackie chimed in: ‘Kyle and I both live and breathe radio and we feel so blessed to do this for a living, it never feels like a job, it feels like just hanging out with your best friend every day.

“Not many people can say that they wake up every day excited to come to work, but in radio that’s how it is, you’re encouraged to have fun, be creative and most importantly, just be yourself.

“I really feel like we’re both so lucky to do what we do – and we never take that privilege for granted.”

In typical Kyle fashion, as Jackie, 47, thanked her friends and family, her shock jock colleague, 51, couldn’t help but shame his “best friend” in his own acceptance speech.

After speaking out about his fiancée Tegan Kynaston, he went on to say that Jackie was his “best buddy” but that he could never have sex with her because “she’s been piling up the pounds.”
