Kyle Sandilands says he has no problem if his son Otto grows up to be gay: ‘I just want him to be safe and loved’

Kyle Sandilands is known for his outspoken opinions on almost any topic.

And on Saturday, the KIIS FM star showed a softer side as he opened up about the joys of being a new dad and the hopes he has for his son.

The radio host, 51, and his fiancee Tegan Kynaston, 36, welcomed their baby boy Otto last August.

“He’s six months old and he’s teething,” Kyle said in an interview with the herald sun on Saturday.

“He is always smiling, he is calm and quiet, and he sleeps very well. So far so good,’ she continued.

Kyle Sandilands has opened up about his son Otto’s future, saying he will accept his baby if he grows up to be gay.

Kyle then said that he doesn’t have a problem if his son turns out to be gay.

“I want her to grow up knowing that she can be whatever she wants to be,” she said.

“I’m not really into sports so I don’t care if he goes the gay way. To be honest, I’d rather see him dance. I want him to be happy, safe and loved.

Elsewhere in his chat, Kyle said that he wanted to bring The Kyle and Jackie O Show to Melbourne if the opportunity arises.

The top-rated breakfast show, which he co-hosts with Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, is only available to listeners in the southern capital via the KIIS FM podcast and digital platforms.

Lauren Phillips and Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins currently host the KIIS FM breakfast in Melbourne.

It comes after Kyle shared a graphic update on Otto’s birth.

He told ‘Intern’ Pete Deppeler live in the hospital parking lot shortly after his son was born: ‘Otto is born, Otto is fabulous. I cut the cord, I didn’t realize it was like hard squid and blood gushed out.

Kyle and Tegan announced that they were expecting their first child in February.

The couple got engaged in Port Douglas, Queensland, over the Christmas holidays.

In June it was reported that Kyle had bought a $13.8 million mansion in Sydney’s elite Bellevue Hill neighborhood to make space for his growing family.

The four-story sprawling property boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an internal living room, and a wine cellar.

Before dating Tegan, Kyle was with his ex-girlfriend Imogen Anthony for eight years until they broke up in 2019.
