Kyle Sandilands drops bombshell about his friendship with Anthony Albanese

Kyle Sandilands dropped a revelation about his friendship with Anthony Albanese during The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday.

The radio king, 53, told co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 49, that despite being close friends with the Labor Party prime minister, he is in fact voting for the opposition.

“I’m voting for the Liberal Party even though I love Albo,” Kyle began.

Kyle added that while he understood the benefits of many of the Albanians’ compassionate policies, he admitted that deep down he was too conservative to vote Labor and that the Liberal Party’s policies were more favorable to wealthy people like he.

‘[Albo] says: “Here’s all the money, everyone benefits!” I don’t want to share. I worked a long time to get all my money, and I don’t want to share it with everyone.’

In August, Kyle revealed that his actual annual income was much higher than his $10 million per year salary, admitting that he takes home closer to $15 million annually.

Kyle and Albanese have been friends for some time and the Prime Minister was one of the A-List guests at his star-studded $1 million wedding to Tegan Kynaston last year.

During the event, Kyle boldly cheered Albo on to propose to his girlfriend Jodie Haydon while giving his wedding speech.

While talking about his own love story with his wife Tegan Kynaston, the radio host congratulated two of his friends who got engaged just days earlier.

He then turned the speech to Mr Albanese – perhaps the most famous of his 130 wedding guests – and asked whether he planned to marry his partner of three years..

“I just want to thank dear friends who came from far and wide, many from abroad, because when you send an invite it’s a destination wedding for those people, but they all came, so thank you,” Sandilands began .

“And one of the travelers got swept up in our love bubble and got engaged while they were in Sydney, Alex and Josh. What a wonderful couple. Congratulations, we are so happy.’

On Tuesday, Kyle said he would not vote for Albo, despite the pair having been friends for some time and the Prime Minister being one of the A-list guests at his star-studded $1 million wedding to Tegan Kynaston last year. Pictured

Sandilands continued: ‘Is anyone else getting married tonight? I asked you, Albo, and you didn’t answer. He does that in his own time.’

Mr Albanese finally popped the question to Jodie in February this year.

The Prime Minister has been in a relationship with financial services firm Ms Haydon since early 2020, following the end of his marriage to Carmel Tebbutt in 2019.

In September, Albanese told ABC Radio that their wedding would take place in 2025, after the next federal election.
