It was the second time in a year that KIIS FM beat 2GB as Sydney’s number 1 station.

The station’s breakfast duo of Jonesy and Amanda lost 2.2 points compared to the last poll and had secured 8% of the slot. It was also the biggest down move in drive, losing 1.5 points.

Sandiland and Henderson, meanwhile, took to Instagram to thank their fans.

“I have a special announcement to make,” the fame shock jock posted.

“We eclipsed the last record. We were at a share of 15.1, it’s 17.9.

Well done to the staff and team, thank you to everyone who listens.

Henderson also sent a message to the breakfast duo’s followers to thank her and pay tribute to her on-air partner.

“The most important part, everyone listening,” she said.
